VR is the perfect medium to train for tasks that are too dangerous or not accessible in day to day life.
One example of this is fire safety training. Luminous worked with Premier Partnership a leading supplier of training to the public sector to create an office fire training experience.
The training puts the user in an office environment where randomised fires then take place.
It covers all the key types of fire from electrical, to chemical, to solid or flammable liquids.
Once the fire starts the user only has a limited amount of time to carry out the fire procedure. This includes sounding the alarm and finding the correct extinguisher to put out the fire.
